Antique maps and prints are some of the best genealogy research tools available and are quickly becoming some of the finest and valued gifts for the antique collector. The fascination of old maps and prints lies in the their unique ability to reflect the history of the world and times of our ancestors, as well as your own special interests. You can aspire to an exceptionally scarce and superbly coloured 19th century plan of the town in which you were born, or from which your family emigrated, or to an equally interesting view of the city you now live in, as it was 100 or more years ago. Mountain Meadows Traders has collected hundreds of Arkansas maps and have had these marvelous antiques restored and professionally matted and framed. These maps make ideal gifts for the person who has everything. We specialize in Arkansas antique maps but we do have a selection of other states. We feel we can best serve our patrons by focusing on what we know best. Arkansas has a rich history, although mostly unappreciated by most "foreigners"! Arkansas was accepted to the union in 1836. There was a brief period when most of Oklahoma was part of the Arkansas Territory. Until Oklahoma became a state, most maps identify her as Indian Territory. If you're wanting a genuine and unique antique to add to your collection, consider one of our many authentic or map reproductions. All of the maps offered for sale are authentic unless otherwise stated. We do offer a few reproductions for those who may want to make a smaller investment, however the reproductions look wonderful and exciting after matted and framed.
